We regret to inform you that Patricia Steel Mayes, age 83, of Lewisburg, Tennessee; passed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She was a member of Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church.
Patricia was a graduate of Jones High School, class of 1959. Her love for children landed her a job at the Child Development Center of Marshall County, teaching children with developmental challenges. She obeyed Christ at an early age and became a member of Galilee United Methodist Church, she taught Sunday School for the youth, and she was treasurer for the Methodist Youth Group. She later became a faithful member of Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church on 7th Avenue, where she attended regularly until her health failed. She loved to sing and could deliver a heart felt pray at a moments notice.
Patricia was survived by her loving nieces, Cathilla Ann Tears (husband Ricky), Cindy Reynelle Smith (husband Taylor), Ametrice Meechie Biggers (husband Robert), Deborah Sue Lewis (husband Dale), and one nephew Joe Davis (wife Donna), and many other great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends, her devoted friends and class mates include: Patsy Hightower, Billy Hill, Gloria Quarles, Helen Pigg, Bobby K Gant Armstrong and her church family.
The Funeral Service will held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at 1:00 PM, at the Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church, Interment will be in Cook Memorial Cemetery, Lewisburg, TN. Pastor Kayla Neese will deliver the eulogy. Please keep the family of Patricia Mayes in your thoughts and prayers.
