Janet L. Brown, of Nashville, formerly of Lewisburg, age 71, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. She was born the daughter of Freddie Mai and Otis Lyttle, Jr. She was a member of Beech Creek M.B. Church in Nashville. She professed her love for our Lord and Savior in her early days and was baptized at Ransom Chapel C.P. Church.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Luster Gene Brown, as well as her parents and one brother Fredrick Lyttle.
She graduated from high school in Marshall County and was gainfully employed at Gibson Guitar Company in Nashville. She was instrumental in brightening the day of all whom she encountered. Janet Brown will be dearly missed.
Janet, is survived by three sisters: Jacqueline (William) Crawford, Tina (Daniel) Carter, and Jeanette Lyttle; three brothers: James (Sarah), Eddie, and Frankie Lyttle; and many other cousins and friends.
She will lie in repose on Friday, April 26th, at the Family Life Center. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service began at Noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Beech Creek M.B. Church, 3101 Curtis Street, Nashville. The interment will follow at Cook Memorial Cemetery, and the repast will be at Ransom Chapel C.P. Church in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
