Wilma Jean Robertson

We regret to inform you of that Mrs. Wilma Robertson, age 82 of Lewisburg, passed on Thursday, March 3, 2016 after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Lyles and Grace Crutcher Mayes, and her step-father, Thad Mayes, one son: Jere W. Lyles, a granddaughter Janae Lyles, two brothers: Horace W. Mayes and Clyde Lyles; and one sister, Myrtle Rushing.

She was a faithful member of Allen Bethel A.M.E. Church until her health failed. She was educated in Muncie, Indiana and Kirkland, Tennessee, and retired from Mead Containers in Marshall County. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and watching basketball games with her family; she will be deeply missed and remembered with loving affection.

Wilma Robertson, leaves precious memories to her three adult children: Hazel Johnson of Columbia, Roxanne Robertson of Lewisburg, and Donald Glenn Robertson of Lewisburg, two sisters: Robbie Baugh of Nashville, and Frances Pitts of Chapel Hill, two brothers: Jimmy Mayes of Carmel, Indiana, and Leonard Mayes of Lewisburg, twelve grandchildren and many nieces, nephews,cousins, loved ones and friends.

Visitation will also be held on Friday, March 11th, from 5 pm till 7 pm at the Lewisburg Family Life Center, 426 Heil Avenue. Visitation, also will be held from 12:00 noon before the Funeral Service, beginning at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Allen Bethel A.M.E. Church, 320 Haynes Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee. Committal and Interment will be in Egypt Cemetery, Chapel Hill, TN.
