Death Notice for JERRY JOHNSON
We regret to inform you that Marvin Jerome Johnson, age 60, of Lewisburg, passed on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was the son of the late Watson and Mary Elizabeth Johnson. He a member of the baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Catherine Hurt. He was employed by the Lewisburg Water Department for 37 years, until his health failed. He was united with the leadership of his friend, Bishop Claude Bellafant in 1996, at Bellafant Baptist Tabernacle. Jerry, will be missed with loving affection.
He is survived by his devoted wife Brenda F. Johnson of Lewisburg, daughters: Karen Greer, Janel Johnson, Ebony Davis, Jerrica Johnson of Lewisburg and Sabrina Bishop of Clarksville, TN; his sons: Jerry Johnson, Marvin J. Johnson, Jr. and Watson Jerrell Johnson, all of Lewisburg; his stepsons: Robert Pillow of Lewisburg; his devoted sister Cathrine Ellison of Lewisburg, his brother Anthony Dwight Johnson of Lewisburg, two sons-in-law Quincy and Ritchie; one daughter-in-law Catherine Johnson, his mother-in-law Bessie Pillow, two sisters-in-law: Barbara Jean Buchannon and Clabe Pillow both of Columbia, brothers-in-law: Evan Armstrong of Lewisburg, Steve Armstrong and Larry Maxwell of Columbia, Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Family Life Center, 426 Heil Avenue. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, May 15, at Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
