Death Notice for Marquitta Ann Taylor

We regret to inform you that Marquitta “Skeeta” Taylor, age 45, of Lewisburg, passed on Thursday, December 1, 2016 after extended illness.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Minnie Drake Taylor, her grandparents Mckinley and Martha Taylor and her maternal grandparents Margaret and Polk Drake; two Uncles Wallace Maxwell and Harvey Taylor and one brother, Douglas Maurice Taylor.

She was a faithful member of St. James Primitive Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed and remembered with loving affection.

Marquitta Taylor, leaves to treasure her memories to her devoted daughter Kinya Taylor, her God-children Quincy and Kiera Mitchell, her father Mckinley Taylor and Step-Mother Geneva Taylor, two step-brothers, Rodney (Vocky) Keith and Darron (Joanna) Keith; two Uncles Will (Cheryl) Taylor, of Lewisburg and Fred (Pat) Taylor of Flint Michigan, four aunts: Carloyn and Connie Taylor of Flint; Michigan, Lizzie M. Maxwell of Lewisburg and ‘ just like a mother’ Mary Tears of Lewisbug, her care giving cousin Frankie Armstrong; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg and the Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 noon, at Greater 1st Baptist, with Pastor Steve Acklin eulogist. Burial will be in Ezell Cemetery in Cornersville.
