Death Notice

We regret to inform you that, Josephine Holloway Smith, age 76, of Fayetteville, passed on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Lincoln Medical Center. She was an esteemed member of Neal’s Temple C.P. Church in Fayetteville, TN.

She was born the daughter of Mary Dangerfield Holloway and Herbert Holloway. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Keith Smith.

She attended school in Lincoln County and was a factory worker and a cook until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family. She will be missed and remembered with loving affection.

Josephine Holloway, is survived two daughters, Deborah Trice, of Tullahoma; and Beverly Holloway of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers: Earnest Holloway, of Nashville, and Robert Holloway, of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister Margaret Holloway of Nashville, seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, Lonzie Trice and a sis-in-law Doris Holloway, a dear friend Bertha N. Bonner and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation and Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 14th from 10 am till 11:00, at Neal’s Temple C.P. Church and the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. with Pastor Larry Battles, Eulogist. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, 569 Old Elkton Pike, Fayetteville.
